Workplace Learning
Discover how workplace literacies training benefits your organisation.
As a partner in CLAN, the Workers’ Educational Association (WEA) can provide a range of FREE training and support for staff. These are just some of the initiatives on offer
• Learning Works – a 45 hour course which can be accredited up to SQA Communications Intermediate l level
• Short tailored courses – to work on a particular workplace literacy issue or need – e.g. Report Writing, Minute Taking, Confident Care Plans, Understanding your Payslip
• Workshops on particular processes or issues – e.g. workplace written communications
• Learning or Organisational Needs Analysis – through individual staff interviews, research into the literacy and numeracy requirements of particular jobs and how staff cope with them
• Workplace Literacy Awareness Training workshops – 3 hour sessions for supervisors and managers to explore the impact of lack of confidence in literacy and numeracy in the workplace, and how employees can be supported
• Consultancy interviews with individual members of staff.
